Are you facing issues using AutoFill in Excel? Here are some quick fixes to get it working again.

Normally, Microsoft Excel, the Fill Handle option remains activated by default, But sometimes there could occur some issues that may disable the Fill Handle option. In that case, we have to enable the Fill Handle option manually.

01 -  Enable or check the Fill Handle option

Check your Autofill settings. Make sure that the AutoFill option is turned on in Excel Online. To do this

  • Go to the File menu and click to Options.
  • There, select Advanced from the left-hand menu and scroll down to the Editing Options section.
  • Check the Enable fill handle and cell drag-and-drop option. Additionally, you should check Alert before overwriting cells to avoid accidentally editing important information.

Now, let’s think of a case in the following picture. the Fill Handle has been used to make a series of numbers starting from ‘1’. But we have got the repetitions of 1 in return.

To get a series of numbers (1,2,3…), you’ll see the option Fill Series from the menu. After you select the related option, you’ll find the series of numbers starting from 1 in Column.

thanks
