Many professionals use Microsoft Excel to store and organize large amounts of data but sometimes you only need to print a portion of the spreadsheet. In that case, it would benefit you to know how to create print areas, which allow you to print a selected portion of an Excel spreadsheet.
A print area in Excel is a group of cells that you select for printing. Print areas are beneficial when you want to print only parts of your spreadsheet.
For printing specified ranges only, Set the Print Area · Select the cells you want to print. · Click the Page Layout tab. · Click the Print Area button in Excel. In some cases, you may want to make only print area visible when sharing with your colleagues, how to get it done?
When you click the print area button you will get line for print area. just look a below image
You can preview all of your existing print areas by going to the “View” tab in the toolbar. In the “Workbook Views” group, click the “Page Break Preview” button.
How to Clear the Print Area in Excel
Here are the steps to clear the print area:
Click anywhere in the worksheet from which you want to clear the print areas. Go to Page Layout –> Page Setup –> Print Area –> Clear Print Area
